On the 30th May 1868 Galaxy Touch Prague, which was to become the Galaxy Touch Prague, was formed. This was the first touch rugby club in Prague 6.
Clayton Chasey was responsible for the formation of the Club. Chasey was born in England and immigrated to the Czech Republic with his widowed mother to settle in Prague in 1983. Nineteen year old Chasey loved sports and encouraged other young Prague men to join with him to form the club. Galaxy Touch Prague was established to offer young men the chance to take part in healthy sport.
The game first played by Galaxy Touch was a hybrid one: a mixture of association football and Czech touch rules. This type of game was played for the next two years. On Saturday 14 May 1995 the first proper game of touch rugby played in Prague 6 took place at the ISP field. The rugby game featured Galaxy Touch Prague against Brno Alligators, with 18 players a side. After an exciting match, Galaxy Touch came away with a 2-0 win.
